Wexford pub claims ‘Best Digital Innovator’ title at Irish Pub Awards 2025

The regional winners for the Irish Pub Awards were announced recently…

There were awards within 10 different categories, which included Best Tourist Pub, Best Food Pub, Best Outdoor Space, Best Music Pub, Outstanding Customer Service, Best Match Day Pub, Best Digital Innovator, Innovative Pub of the Year, Best Late Night Bar, Best Local Pub.

Awards were handed out on a regional basis. Wexford pubs competed in the South-East regional category against counties such as Carlow, Waterford, Kilkenny, and Tipperary.

Maggie May’s, located on Monck Street in Wexford town, claimed the South-East regional title for the ‘Best Digital Innovator’.

Speaking after the win, the owners said:

This award recognises pubs that have successfully used social media, digital content, and website design to strengthen their engagement with customers, and build a loyal following.

The judges were looking for pubs that have gone above and beyond to create a strong and engaging social media presence, showcasing creativity, consistency, and audience interaction.

Wexford pub Maggie Mays have consistently used their staff to create funny and engaging videos which are then shared across their social media channels helping to drive footfall to their premises.

They also were the main ‘fan sponsor’ for Wexford Weekly’s videos, where content creator Fionn O’Callaghan interviewed Wexford fans both before and after the games to share their pre-match thoughts and post-match reactions.
