
Four young Wexford girls have been selected in the squad to take part in a UEFA Development tournament…
Both Mia Whelan and Emma Fitzpatrick, who play their football with the Wexford Youths Women have been named in the Ireland u-15 squad for an upcoming tournament.
Along side the two Wexford Youths players, Ellie Byrne – who plays with Courtown Hibs, and goalkeeper Caoimhe Keating who plays with Forth Celtic have also been selected on the squad.
“Congratulations to Mia Whelan and Emma Fitzpatrick who have been named in the Ireland U15 team that will head to Spain next week to take part in a UEFA Development Tournament where they will play against Poland, Norway and the hosts,” the Wexford Youths Women team said.


The first game against Poland is set for Tuesday in Alicante.
It’s great to see young Wexford girls being given an opportunity. It’s an excellent opportunity for both to impress on the international stage, while representing their country in an International tournament.
