Newly-refurbished bar reopens doors in County Wexford

A well-known pub in New Ross has reopened its doors following a refurbishment, with many locals already turning out in numbers to see the updated venue…

The Parish Pump, formerly known as The Shamrock Arms in New Ross, recently announced that they were undergoing refurbishment works and had closed their doors to the public.

The popular New Ross pub welcomed customers back with a reopening night last week that began from 4pm, with a traditional Irish music session at 7pm followed by live music later in the evening.

The team behind the venue said they were looking forward to welcoming customers back and hoped to see plenty of familiar faces through the doors.

Music is set to remain a key part of the pub’s offering. Regular live performances are scheduled, including Sunday evening sessions in the newly renovated beer garden.

Local musicians have been lined up to perform, helping create a lively atmosphere for patrons returning to the bar.

Speaking after their reopening, owners Brian and Conor O’Gorman were quick to thank their loyal customers:

“Thank you to everyone who made our opening night such a great and memorable occasion,” they said.

The Parish Pump describes itself as a family pub with welcoming staff and a friendly environment, and the refurbishment marks a fresh chapter for the long-standing New Ross establishment.

With the upgrades complete, the venue is hoping to attract both regulars and new customers in the weeks ahead, offering live music, social events and a refreshed setting for people to meet and enjoy a night out in New Ross.
