After successful campaigns to find the best beer garden, the best pint of Guinness, Wexford’s best coffee and Wexford’s best pizza, we’ve now put together a list for the Top 5 restaurants in County Wexford for 2026.
A public poll on Wexford Weekly’s Facebook and Instagram page, sponsored by The Country Bistro in Taghmon, ran from 8 June 2026 to 15 June 2026 and it gathered significant public interest. Combining votes from both Facebook (294) and Instagram (43), 337 individuals voted on the public poll.

5 – Mary Barry’s
Mary Barry’s is one of County Wexford’s best-known dining destinations, located in the village of Kilmore. Renowned for its warm hospitality and relaxed atmosphere, the restaurant specialises in locally sourced seafood landed daily at nearby Kilmore Quay. 1 – The Lobster Pot
And the award for County Wexford’s best restaurant 2026 goes to The Lobster Pot after receiving 120 of the total 337 votes! The Lobster Pot, situated in Carne, has built a strong reputation as a seafood restaurant with a distinctly coastal character. Known for serving fresh fish, lobster, mussels, and seafood chowder, it attracts diners looking for quality local produce in a relaxed setting. The restaurant combines traditional Irish hospitality with generous portions and a welcoming atmosphere.
