A new Taekwon-Do club recently opened in County Wexford…
The new Taekwon-Do club opened its doors just a number of months ago in Kilmore, County Wexford.
The club was opened by Billy Winters, who is well-kown in Taekwon-Do circles. The 21-year-old who is running the club is one of the best not in Ireland but in all of Europe — and he claimed a bronze medal at the European Taekwondo Championships in 2022. Later that year, he won three Gold medals at the Irish Taekwondo Association National Cup.
The name of the club is Celtic Coast Taekwon-Do. Winters founded Celtic Coast Taekwondo in February 2026 at Kilmore National School — and in six weeks had 30+ students, 19 colour belts, and a student winning 1st place at the Dublin Open International.

They had their first grading last Sunday 14th June along the Irish Taekwon-Do Association (ITA) Technical Director Master Niall Jones VII.
“It was a very sucessful day. All of Billy’s students that he put forward for their grading had passed their tests,” Carol Kehoe told Wexford Weekly.
