Wexford professional boxer Dean “Speedy Gonzalez” Furlong is set to return to the ring soon…
The Wexford professional boxer has a new fight date pencilled in for October.
Furlong is named on the promotional poster for Conlan Boxing’s ‘Unleashed’ event, which takes place at Ulster Hall in Belfast on October 17th.
The Wexford man has been building an impressive professional record since making his debut in 2024. He currently boasts an unbeaten 9-0 record. Mutliple of those wins came inside the distance too.
His most recent recorded victory came in July 2026, when he defeated Atilla Kayabasi in Spain.
The Wexford native has also featured prominently on Conlan Boxing cards previously, including the ‘War in Waterford’ event in December 2024, where he stopped Sebastian Wojtan in the opening round.
Furlong, who is now based in Spain, has become one of Wexford’s leading professional boxing prospects and has regularly brought strong local support to his fights.
The October 17th event is headlined by Quinn Delgado, with Furlong listed among a strong line-up of fighters on the Belfast card.
An opponent for Furlong has yet to be confirmed, but the announcement gives Wexford boxing fans another date to circle in the calendar.
