After scoring a crucial goal and rising to the occasion when needed most in the remaining five minutes against Galway, missing Sunday’s clash would serve as a crucial blow to Wexford and a coming-to-form McDonald.

Wexford Weekly reported after the game that McDonald picked up a hand injury, however, the Irish Independent understands that an X-Ray did not reveal any broken bones.

Even though this seems like great news initially, the same Irish Independent article also reported that “there is some ligament damage” and that he remains a doubt for the upcoming clash with the Cats.

In other injury news, Damien Reck, who was taken off after 14 minutes against Galway, also remains a doubt as he battles with a hamstring injury.
