Confirmed: Former Wexford Manager Liam Dunne Is Back In Management

Former Wexford player, former All-Ireland winner, and former Wexford manager Liam Dunne is back in local management…

According to our sources, Dunne, who reigned as Wexford Senior Hurling manager from 2011-2016, has decided to re-enter management for another stint.

Dunne will take charge of his native club team, Oulart-The Ballagh for the upcoming season, which was confirmed following Oulart-The Ballagh’s AGM.

In comparison to their usual high standards, Oulart-The Ballagh were outclassed throughout the 2018 Wexford Senior Hurling Championship, bowing out of the Wexford SHC before the quarter-final stages for the first time since 1998.

This will be Dunne’s second term in charge of Oulart, having guided his club team to three successive Wexford SHC victories in 2009, 2010 and 2011 respectively.

The Oulart-The Ballagh faithful will be hoping that with Dunne’s experience, they’ll be back winning titles as easy as before.
