I fully agree with Lorna. Our chief medical officer and Taoiseach understand that we all need to get outside for recreation and exercise, albeit in a compliant and responsible way at this time. This directive denies people a badly needed recreational outlet when tell probably need it most. Unnecessary decision at this time. We should be following the lead of our government.
Think this is the wrong decision… our club is a great facility for both young and old to get a bit of fresh air/ exercise, in a safe environment, the local roads are DEADLY to walk/ cycle on, fields are being used for cattle/ sheep…each club could have had volunteers to enforce social distancing if necessary…I run in our pitch regularly, early in the morning, always quiet, always gorgeous this time of year… this ban makes me very sad ☹️
