Following Davy Fitzgerald’s five year tenure as Wexford Senior hurling manager, Darragh Egan is now the new man in charge…
Willie Cleary, who stepped away from the Naomh Eanna Senior team this year, has been drafted in as a selector. Cleary will join former Dublin hurler Niall Corcoran as a selector, who was involved with Davy Fitzgerald’s set-up last year.
It has now been revealed that Ian O’Regan has been brought in as the new Wexford Senior Hurling goalkeeping coach.
O’Regan has been a valued member of the Mount Sion Senior Hurling panel in Waterford, while he has also enjoyed time lining out in goal for the Waterford Senior hurling panel.
Interestingly, proud Wexford native and internationally recognised boxing coach Billy Walsh will also have a part to play in the backroom team, while Graham Byrne will lead the Strength and Conditioning team for the upcoming season.
It’s not the firs time that a Waterford man has been brought in to help their neighbouring county. Under Fitzgerald’s tenure as Wexford Senior Hurling manager, he brought in a Waterford native who played an influential role in Wexford’s success in 2019.
