Doran Family From Wexford Make It Through To Quarter-Finals Of Ireland’s Fittest Family

Ireland’s Fittest Family returned to our television screens this evening…

It’s the tenth season of the RTÉ show created by former Wexford Senior hurling manager, Davy Fitzgerald.

Representing Wexford on this year’s show was the Doran family from Craanford.

The team consisted of Dad Ger Doran, Oliver Doran, Caitriona Doran, and Eamonn Doran.

The family were coached by Davy Fitzgerald. Their coach had a “really good feeling about the family” from the start and it showed in tonight’s episode.

In the first test, Ollie managed to do the ‘hang-tough’ for 75 seconds and the Doran family were able to place seven hoops on the plank in the meantime.

In the second test, the family had to get a raft across the water and they made it look relatively easy, coming first in that test and avoiding the eliminator.

The Craanford family have now made it through to the quarter-final stages of the competition following this evening’s episode.

A Wexford family have won the last two seasons; in 2020 the Mahoney’s from Glynn-Barntown took home the crown as Ireland’s Fittest Family and then in 2021, the Kinsella’s won the show.
