We’re heading into the semi-final stages of the Wexford Senior Football stages now….
The pairings were confirmed following this weekend’s quarter-final games.
Quarter-final results:
Gusserane 1-10 – 2-10 St James
Castletown 3-15 – 0-07 Kilanerin
Shelmaliers 3-11 – 0-05 Starlights
St Annes 0-14 – 2-07 Glynn-Barntown
Both Castletown and reigning champions Shemlaiers had comprehensive wins in their quarter-final clashes.
Meanwhile, St Annes snuck past Glynn-Barntown by the minimum and St James shocked Gusserane in the other quarter-final.
Semi-final pairings:
St James vs Castletown
Shelmaliers vs St Annes
Most would tip both Castletown and the Shelmaliers to progress to the finals, but who knows with the Wexford Senior Football Championship.
Both matches will take place at Chadwicks Wexford Park next Sunday, October 9th, as part of a double-header. The James’ game is on at 2pm, while the Shelmaliers game is on at 4pm.
On the other end of the draw, St Martins will have to battle it out against HWH Bunclody in the relegation final.
