Wexford Shop That Sold €2 Million Euro Winning Lotto Ticket Now Revealed

The National Lottery are urging Lotto players in Wexford to check their tickets to see if they are Ireland’s 10th Lotto jackpot winner of the year. 

The winning numbers for Saturday’s (15th October) draw were: 7, 19, 24, 30, 36, 44, and the bonus was 41.

The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning store location of the €2 million jackpot.

The shop that sold the winning lotto ticket is Canavan’s Londis in Inch, Gorey, Co. Wexford.

Speaking to Wexford Weekly on Sunday morning, a National Lottery spokesperson this morning said: 

“There’s huge excitement as this latest win is the third time a Lotto player has scooped the jackpot in just 12 days! One of our lucky players in Wexford is now in possession of a ticket worth a life-changing €2 million! This morning, we are appealing to all our players in Wexford to check their tickets carefully and if you are the winner, sign the back of the ticket and contact our prize claims team as soon as possible. This latest Wexford winner is the 10th Lotto jackpot winner of the year and the 32nd National Lottery millionaire of 2022.”

Speaking on the win this morning, the owners highlighted their delight.

 Owners Martin and Catherine Canavan have been running the service station for sixteen years and were thrilled to find out they sold the winning ticket: “I’m so excited, I can barely speak!”, said Catherine. 

“This is the biggest prize that we have ever sold so there is certain to be great excitement around as soon as the news gets out. We’re a busy little shop out in the middle of nowhere. We’ve been running the service station sixteen years and most of our staff have been with us since the very first day. We’ve been kept going over the years by our amazing local customers. They are fantastic to us, and I’m so delighted someone has won this life-changing amount of money. We wish the winner the very best of luck with their prize”, Catherine added.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 35 years ago. In 2021 alone, €304 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
