Gorey Woman Receives National Award In Retail Excellence

A Gorey woman recently received a national award in retail excellence…

Lisa Gowan, who is from the Ballylacey, Gorey, won the AIB retail excellence award for emerging leader. This is a national award and there were thousands of entries.

The award ceremony took place in Galmont, Galway, on November 12th and none other than Hector Ó hEochagáin presented the award to Lisa.

Speaking to Wexford Weekly, Lisa said it was the best feeling in the world:

“It was the best feeling in the world. I recently got married and won Gorey person of the year in February. This is just the icing on the cake. I love my customers and I love my job. I love making people happy,” she said.

It’s great to see local people doing well on the national stage.
