It’s two from two for Ferns St-Aidans in the Wexford Senior hurling championship…
In Round 1 of the Wexford Senior Hurling Championship, they defeated the Shelmaliers and last weekend in Round 2, they powered home to victory against Oulart-The Ballagh at Chadwicks Wexford Park.
While there were many moments of brilliance in Round 2 of the Wexford Senior hurling championship, it’s hard to look past Diarmuid Doyle’s point as the best point. He showed both skill and strength to get by multiple Oulart defenders, before soloing the ball over another defender’s head and hitting the ball over the bar off the hurl.
Ferns will be hoping that their good run of form continues, and if it does, they could be on for securing their second title in two years.
Meanwhile, with two losses from their first two games, Oulart-The Ballagh, who have just returned to the Wexford Senior hurling championship, will need some big performances in their remaining games.
