Wexford FC manager sponsors supporters bus to Athlone out of his own pocket

There’s class, then there’s this…

The Wexford FC manager, James Keddy, will be sponsoring a supporter’s bus out of his own pocket for the club’s next game.

The Wexford FC supporters bus is organised by fan-group, The Youths.

Writing on X (formerly Twitter), the supporter’s group announced that their next game will be sponsored by the team’s manager.

“Yesterday, we got a call from Wexford FC manager, James Keddy. He said he’ll personally sponsor our bus to Athlone for our crucial promotion race game v Athlone, James said he really appreciates the support that he and his team have received both home and away this season Due to this fantastic gesture our bus will be free for anybody travelling, limited spaces means first come first served,” they said.

The League of Ireland First Division clash between Wexford FC and Athlone takes place next Friday, August 25th at 7:45pm.
