An Taoiseach will be in Wexford this evening (Monday)…

An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, will be in Wexford town this evening to officially open and mark the start of the 2023 Wexford Festival Opera.

It’s one night in the year that many people across the county look forward to every year.

An excellent fireworks display will take place once again.

The Wexford fireworks will be officially opened by Leo Varadkar at 7:15pm on Monday 24th.

Then, at 7:30pm, the fireworks will be set off to light up the sky along Wexford’s Quayfront.

The fireworks display is supported by Wexford County Council.

In related news, Wexford FC will also be hoping for fireworks from their football team this evening. They take on Cobh Ramblers from Cork in the first round play-off game, which could see them on their way to promotion to the League of Ireland Premier Division.
