New member of Keith Rossiter’s Wexford Senior hurling backroom team steps away

A member of Keith Rossiter’s new backroom team has already stepped away…

Frank Flannery, a former Oulart-The Ballagh manager, has stepped away from Keith Rossiter’s set-up ahead of the new season.

Flannery was also a coach with Carrigtwohil in Cork for the 2022-23 season.

The Echo Live in Cork has reported that Flannery stepped away from the Cork club team after one year in charge of the Senior hurling team.

Flannery also confirmed to the Echo Live that he would not be joining up with the Wexford Senior hurlers for the upcoming season, despite being ratified as one of Keith Rossiter’s backroom team coaches earlier this year in late August. He was due to start as a skills coach this year with the Wexford Senior hurlers, alongside David Franks, Eanna Martin, and Damien Fitzhenry.

Flannery noted that he can no longer commit to either role due to work commitments.

The news will come as a blow to Rossiter and the Wexford Senior hurlers. Flannery would have brought a wealth of experience into the set-up.
