Wexford-based speaker will be at Ireland’s Largest Menopause Summit

Following the phenomenal success of two sold out summits in Dublin and Cork last year, the National Menopause Summit returns as a two day symposium on Thursday April 11th and Friday April 12th at Dublin’s iconic Aviva Stadium….

Now firmly established as Ireland’s largest menopause education empowerment and advocacy event, the 2024 National Menopause Summit will feature the same full day programme and expert speaker line-up across both days of the event, with one day tickets available to purchase from today at nationalmenopausesummit.com.

With international guest speakers at last year’s events including menopause advocates Davina McCall and Mariella Frostrup, this April’s National Menopause Summit will feature the country’s leading experts in menopause care and women’s health alongside industry wide professionals advocating for menopause friendly workplace environments and supports. Menopause champion, journalist and broadcaster Gráinne Seoige returns as host and moderator of the Dublin summit, with the exceptional speaker line-up including Dr Deirdre Lundy, lead medical officer in the Complex Menopause Service at the National Maternity Hospital Holles Street; Dr Caoimhe Hartley, clinical lead of the Rotunda Hospital Menopause Clinic,  founder and CEO of Menopause Health; Maeve McCleane, chief people officer and board executive of Lidl Ireland and Northern Ireland; Dr Tanya Mulcahy, director of Health Innovation Hub Ireland and founder of Femtech Ireland and Shalini Wiseman, chartered physiotherapist in pelvic health and continence. Additional speakers and panellists will be announced over the coming months.

Illustrating the ever-increasing demand and need for fact-based menopause education in Ireland, the female-led team behind the National Menopause Summit are proud to announce that the summit’s compelling full day programme has expanded to feature both main stage and inspirational breakout sessions across both days.  The most up-to-date knowledge, expertise and research in the area of perimenopause and menopause will be delivered by the country’s leading clinicians, healthcare practitioners, legal and HR experts, business and union leaders, facilitators and advocates.

The 2024 National Menopause Summit will continue to advocate for a new norm across the Irish workplace through the empowerment and education of Irish organisations on the introduction of inclusive, compassionate and sympathetic workplace policies to ensure all feel supported to forge forward in their careers at this oftentimes highly challenging and transitional stage of life. Wexford based Maeve McCleane, chief people officer of Lidl Ireland and Lidl Northern Ireland is announced as a summit speaker in the area of menopause in the workplace with Lidl having introduced its menopause awareness and support resources in 2021.

A Masterclass in Menopause, the 2024 National Menopause Summit will deliver the ‘no filter reality’ of the serious challenges menopause presents to the individual, intimate and familial relationships, the workplace and wider economy and how best we may negotiate these challenges.

Having launched in 2023, the National Menopause Summit is run by the Dublin based female-led team of founder and co-director Sinéad McNamara and co-director Shell Holden.
