Change of venue for Wexford’s Walsh Cup clash against Kilkenny

The Wexford Senior hurlers take on Kilkenny in the Walsh Cup this weekend…

Keith Rossiter’s side face Kilkenny in the semi-final of the pre-season competition.

All supporters considering heading to the game should note the change of venue ahead of the game.

The game was originally fixed for Nowlan Park, but it will now be played in John Locke Park, Callan, in Kilkenny instead.

It will take place Saturday, 20th Jan.

The reason for the fixture change was due to O’Loughlin Gaels being involved in the All-Ireland final on the Sunday.

It will be Keith Rossiter’s first time in charge of the Wexford Senior team against Kilkenny. Rossiter’s first official and competitive game was last week, when he helped to guide the team to their first opening win of the Walsh Cup campaign when they defeated Carlow.
