Two Wexford natives to represent county in the Sigerson Cup final

Wexford will be represented in the Sigerson Cup final…

The Sigerson Cup final is the university All-Ireland competition for Gaelic Football across the country.

There will be two Wexford natives representing the county at the historic college’s final.

University College Dublin (UCD), who defeated University of Limerick, in the semi-final will be one team in the final.

They will be joined by the University of Ulster, who defeated Maynooth University in their respective semi-final.

There are two Wexford men involved with the UCD set-up.

James Flood, the current Naomh Eanna football manager who guided them back to the Senior Football ranks, is involved in a coaching capacity for UCD.

Meanwhile, Kilanerin club man, Conor ‘Scholsey’ Kinsella, is a member on the panel. Kinsella, who was pivotal in driving his club team Kilanerin to u-20 football success last year, has become a key member of John Hegarty’s Wexford Senior Football panel too, starting at wing-forward against Laois in their most recent Allianz League match.

The Dublin College will take on Ulster University in the Sigerson Cup final next Wednesday, February 14th.
