Two Wexford football sides will be in action this weekend….
They’ll be competing in the second round of the FAI Senior Cup.
Gorey Rangers will host University College Dublin at home in Altura Credit Union Park in Ramstown, Gorey, this Saturday, July 21st with kick-off at 2pm. Admission for this game is €10, while there will be a bucket collection at halftime with all funds raised being donated to the fund for young Courtown Hibs Goalkeeper, Ben Lawlor, a 16-year old who is currently battling cancer.
Ahead of the clash, the Gorey Rangers PRO said that it’s a huge game and an excellent opportunity:
“It’s a huge game on Sunday in the FAI Cup 2nd Round with a crack at League of Ireland opposition. Sitting in 3rd place in Division 1,UCD are sure to be a massive test for Willie and the lads. A well deserved reward for the team after last seasons Fai Junior Cup exploits and a convincing win over Maynooth University Town FC in the previous round.”
Meanwhile, Wexford FC will also be in action against Wayside Celtic. Wayside Celtic F.C. is an Irish association football club based in Kilternan, Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown (Dublin) and the Dublin side will be hosting the clash. Kick off is at 3pm, Saturday.
