Vodafone Ireland have announced significant network upgrades in Wexford, which have been completed in time for the upcoming Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann…
These enhancements include upgrades to both 4G and 5G infrastructure throughout Wexford town, ensuring reliable connectivity for residents, visitors and businesses. The upgraded network will accommodate the expected increase in mobile usage during the Fleadh, allowing attendees to share the rich experiences of traditional Irish music and dance with family and friends online.
These enhancements are part of Vodafone’s nationwide infrastructure investment, benefitting both rural and urban areas.
Speaking to Wexford Weekly Sheila Kavanagh, Vodafone Ireland’s Networks Director, emphasised the importance of this upgrade:
“Our investment in 4G and 5G infrastructure boosts connectivity for people and businesses in Wexford. With over 500,000 visitors expected at the Fleadh, we’re proud to support Ireland’s musical heritage by enabling seamless sharing of videos, photos and posts online.”
Vodafone has already invested €300 million in their networks over the past three years, with an additional half a billion euros to be invested over the next four years to enhance services for customers.
