
It’s hard to comprehend the rise of Wexford’s DJ Ciano…
From going live and playing music in his garden shed to “keep the spirits high” during the Coronavirus pandemic, to now selling out gigs nationwide. In just a short space of time, his rise has been somewhat meteoric, helped of course by his significant following on his social media platforms through his TikTok channel and his Instagram channel.
But, in Cian’s case, it’s true what they say: with fans, comes haters. It’s now a sad part of the music scene unfortunately. And with social media, it has become all to simple to direct that hate at anyone, often with little or no consequences for the user directing the hate either.
Cian Fitzgerald Byrne, more commonly known as DJ Ciano across the land now, was a recent guest on The Truth Temple Podcast.
On the podcast, he opened up about an array of topics including how he reads the dance floor, his big aims for the future, and his desire to always improve. The young Wexford man, still only 23-years of age, opened up about the online hate that he has been receiving from trolls and he has sent them trolls a simple message:

“I just ignore it. I focus on the people who had a good night, rather than the few that didn’t. I always get negativity now. Posts as well – recently, I’ve been getting really bad trolls online on TikTok. On every post I’ve put up recently on TikTok, it’s nothing but trolls. It’s just getting out of hand. But I do want to send out the message to those people: I just ignore that now and focus on the positives in life – because it’s just not worth it,” he said.
