Opponent revealed for Dean Walsh’s next fight in England

Wexford boxer Dean Walsh will be back in the ring in less than one week…

The Wexford town boxer will be travelling to Sheffield in England to box on the Skate Central card, which will take place on March 1st 2025.

Walsh’s opponent has been revealed for the upcoming fight in England.

He will be fighting Romanian journeyman, Octavian Gratii. His record stands at 8-75-4 in the professional boxing ranks. Meanwhile, Walsh, who is only starting out in the pro boxing scene, holds a record of 1-0 after he quickly dismantled his opponent – Tamas Horvath – in the first round on his debut on the War in Waterford card in December.

30-year-old Wexford man Walsh will be hoping for an active year; already, he has been pencilled in to fight on a JB Promotions and Conlan Boxing card, taking place at the National Stadium in Dublin on April 12th.

Although Walsh will be looking forward to the April 12th card too, he will be only taking it one fight at a time. Despite that, it shows clear intention from the Wexford man. He wants fights, he wants them quick, and he wants to build up his record to get a crack at a domestic title down the line.
