All you need to know ahead of the Wexford vs Galway Allianz Hurling League clash

After picking up their first win of the Allianz Hurling League against Clare last weekend, Wexford’s attention now turns to Galway…

It was the Wexford hurler’s first victory of the campaign, coming at the hands of the current National League champions and All-Ireland champions in their home patch.

However, Keith Rossiter and the Wexford Senior hurling team will have no time to celebrate. Instead, attention solely turns to Galway next weekend as Wexford are still fighting a relegation battle with two teams relegated to Division 1B.

Here, we look at all the details you need to know ahead of the Wexford vs Galway game:

Where is it?

It’s a home game for Wexford. It will take place at Wexford Park.

What date and time?

The game is on Saturday 1st March at 5pm.

Is it on tv? Or is it being streamed?

Unfortunately, the Wexford vs Galway Allianz League match will not be broadcast live on TV. It will not be streamed on any platform either. The only way to watch this match is if you actually attend in person.

Where can I get tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online via Ticketmaster. General admission tickets cost €20. Student and OAP tickets cost €15. Please note that Juveniles also require a ticket (€5) and must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder.

What are the betting odds?

Despite the home advantage, Wexford enter this clash as 15/8 underdogs. The draw can be secured at 9/1, while a Galway win is priced at 1/2 in most major bookmakers.

How are Wexford doing in the League table?

Wexford have lost three out of four games in the 2025 Allianz Hurling League. They are second last in the League, climbing over Clare after their most recent win in Ennis. However, they are still fighting a relegation battle, with two teams relegated to Division 1B. Wexford’s Lee Chin recently stated that Wexford will fight until the end – and that they want to remain in the top tier, competing against the best teams.

Who else are Wexford playing in the League?

Along with the Galway clash (home) this weekend, Wexford will have an away trip to Limerick to look forward to. There will be a significant break between these games though, as Wexford’s game against Limerick will not take place until Saturday 22nd.
