Daughter Of Wexford Woman Who Passed Away Raises Money For Wexford General Hospital

A daughter of a Wexford woman who sadly passed away from Covid-19 has raised money for Wexford General Hospital

Caroline McColgan’s mother Kathleen Cadogan of Foulksmills sadly passed away in March due to Covid 19.

Caroline wanted to say thanks for all the care and for the exceptional work of all the staff and in turn, she raised over €8,500 in a fundraiser walk called the ‘Stairway to Heaven’.

The walk, which took place in Enniskillen, is about 9km. Alongside Caroline taking part in the walk was her husband Gerry, and children Tara, Conrad and Conor.

A GoFundMe page was set up by Caroline and with thanks to hundreds of donations from people across Co Wexford, Co Donegal and Galway and beyond, €8500 was raised for Wexford Hospital’s ICU Department.

Full credit to Caroline and her family for completing this and turning a negative into a positive.

There are always positives in life and Wexford General Hospital and their patients will reap some rewards following this nice gesture.
