Three late points secured the victory for the Starlights…
With little separating the teams for the majority of the game, it looked likely that the Wexford Senior County Football final today between Castletown and the Starlights was destined for extra-time.
With 60 minutes played in the match, Ben Brosnan kicked over a point which saw Castletown leading by a point.
However, three late points from the Starlights — with two coming from sharpshooter Alan Tobin and one unbelievable individual score from Ricky Fox, helped to secure a 1-11 to 1-09 victory for the Enniscorthy club.
The game was broadcasted live on Wexford GAA TV’s platform and the full match will be available to watch this evening on their YouTube channel, which we will also share onto our platform here once it becomes available.
