Wreckless Skate Park is one of the best skate parks around…
Like many businesses, due to the pandemic, they are now facing financial difficulties.
The well-respected and top-class skate park, located in Gorey Business Park, could be facing closure as a result. No doubt, closure of the indoor skate park would be a blow to the area.
They have created a fundraiser with a 50,000 euro target to help keep it open.
“Over the past six years Wreckless skatepark has been a pillar in Irish Skateboarding community. We have hosted the all Ireland Skateboard and Scooter championships for several years. We at Wreckless aim to provide a safe and friendly atmosphere for kids and adults alike, to enjoy skateboarding, scooter and BMX facilities when the Irish weather wont allow it. Due to covid-19 over the past year, we have fallen upon hard times and are facing having to close the park completely. The smallest donations will go a long way in helping secure, not only the future of our park, but the future of Irish Skateboarding during this difficult time,” the statement read.
As it stands, the GoFundMe has raised over 2500 euro. To donate to the fundraiser, check out the Wreckless GoFundMe here.
