An upcoming short film will be filmed at various Wexford locations…
The short film, entitled “A Set of Unfortunate Events that made us Fortunate” is an upcoming short film, partnered with the Film Network Ireland.
The short film is based on the writer’s and director’s, Jan Paul Lodzinski’s, real-life relationship with his younger cousin with whom he bonded with, while coming to terms with the loss of a beloved shared family member.
Despite its heavy subject matter, this film explores found family in a fun, playful way with an eccentric cast of characters and beautiful locations that evoke a sense of nostalgia and youth.
They are a small, local crew of passionate filmmakers, ranging from ambitious students and experienced professionals. Many of the crew’s previous work has been successful in local festivals including winning the 2022 Short Film Smedias Award.
Film Network Ireland are working closely with the crew as they are the first project utilizing their new crowdfunding platform the FNI Fund.

The crew has a fundraising aim of €7,000. Over €2,000 euro has already been raised on the platform. The money raised will go towards the production of the short film, paying the artists and musicians, and looking after the crew.
