Wexford GAA’s CEO steps down from his position and picks up new role

Wexford GAA’s CEO has stepped down…

Wexford GAA’s Chief Executive, Gavin O’Donovan, has stepped away from his position. His resignation will be effective as of the end of January 2024.

O’Donovan secured the position in 2021 following the resignation of Gearóid Devitt.

O’Donovan has found a new position and he will be joining SME Finance & Leasing.

“I would like to take this chance to thank all the staff of Wexford GAA, Coiste Bainistí, club officers, inter-county team players, managers and backrooms, Wexford GAA’s sponsors and corporate partners and all those who volunteer in any capacity to further Wexford GAA for their help and support over the last two and a half years.”

“I would especially like to thank my entire family for their backing throughout my tenure, without which it would not have been possible for me to function in my role.”

“I really enjoyed my time working for Wexford GAA and will leave with a heavy heart. My passion is the GAA and the achievements of Wexford GAA and its clubs, both on and off the field, during my time brought immense satisfaction to me in my role. I will continue to support Wexford GAA in any way I can in the future. Loch Garman Abu,” he said.

Wexford GAA will now be on the look out for a new CEO.
