Team news: Wexford Senior hurling team named to face Clare in Allianz Hurling League

The Wexford Senior hurling team has been named ahead of this weekend…

Wexford Senior hurling manager, Keith Rossiter, has named his side for the upcoming clash against Brian Lohan’s Clare side.

The last time that Clare came to Wexford Park shocked many in attendance and Wexford supporters will be hoping that their side will provide a much stronger test this weekend.

They will come up against stiff opponents in Clare though, who sit nicely at the top of the Allianz Hurling League table with two wins from two.

In relation to this weekend’s side, Rossiter has named a similar side that has played previous games. Cathal Dunbar receives his first start of the Allianz League, with Cian Byrne losing his place in the starting fifteen. Simon Donohoe also is a notable mention on the starting fifteen and he regains his place at wing-back following an injury. On the bench, Wexford fans will be happy to see the return of Conor Devitt and Matthew O’Hanlon.

With Jack O’Connor’s red-card against Offaly just recently rescinded, he also may find his way onto the panel or starting fifteen, likely to be announced on the day of the game.
