Bookies release odds for Wexford and Dublin Leinster hurling clash this weekend

There’s a bit of excitement brewing in the air ahead of this weekend…

That’s because the Wexford Senior hurling team will take on Dublin in the opening round of the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship.

Wexford will have most of their team back for this clash, bar full-back Liam Ryan and stalwart Dee O’Keeffe who continue to recover from respective injuries.

Ahead of this weekend’s clash, the major bookmakers including PaddyPower and Betfair have released their odds.

Bookies odds:

The bookies have released their odds:

Wexford 2/5

Draw 9/1

Dublin 9/4

They also have Wexford priced at -3 in handicap betting.

Wexford -3 @ 10/11

Draw -3 @ 11/1

Dublin +3 @ Evens

In previous years, the games have been incredibly close, with just a puck of the ball between them in the previous two Leinster Championship encounters. Perhaps, the main reason why Wexford enter this clash as favourites is due to their home advantage and their previous Allianz Hurling League results.

Previous Championship Results:

Dublin 1-22 – 0-23 Wexford (2023)

Wexford 0-23 – 0-24 Dublin (2022)

Wexford will open their Leinster Senior Hurling Championship campaign to Dublin on Sunday at 2pm. A large crowd is expected and Wexford manager Keith Rossiter has called on Wexford hurling supporters to get behind the team as the Championship looms.
