Wexford manager Keith Rossiter calls on Wexford hurling fans to get behind hurling team

The countdown is well and truly on to the opening round of the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship…

Bigger things are yet to come for this Wexford Senior hurling team and their opening clash against Dublin could be one of the biggest games of the season for both sides.

Speaking to the Wexford Hurling Podcast recently, Wexford Senior hurling manager Keith Rossiter has called on Wexford hurling fans to get behind the county as Championship looms:

“I think that it’s a relatively new Wexford squad that needs all the encouragement and support that they can get. No matter what way results are going to go, we’re going to be fighting and we’re going out to win. That extra man, especially in Wexford park. We’ll have Dublin and Galway in the Park. Besides from that, we’re on the road… in Belfast, Dr Cullen Park, and Nowlan Park in the last game.”

“Whatever support and whatever extra we can get from people in Wexford Park, we’ll take it. We need it as well. That’s just it. Home advantage means something to us, but it’s worth so much more when it’s full and Wexford people have your back and they’re behind you,” he said.

Although the Wexford Senior hurling team will be without some key stalwarts, it’s vital that we – as supporters – get behind the team.

The first round of the championship is quickly approaching. Tickets for Wexford’s opening clash against Dublin are currently on sale and Wexford will need a big support at the game.
