Met Eireann issue Status Yellow warning for Wexford as Storm Bert approaches

A cold snap came recently, but thankfully, the prediction of snow wasn’t to be for the most part for people living in Wexford…

However, as per Ireland’s national weather forecaster, Met Eireann, it’s not the end of the warnings just yet. The Irish weather forecaster has placed Wexford, along with neighbouring counties, under a Status Yellow warning ahead of this weekend.

Irish weather forecaster, Met Eireann, have implemented a Status Yellow Wind and Rain warning for Wexford, along with the rest of the country, while some countries including Cork, Kerry, and Galway will be under a Status Orange weather warning.

They are predicting “very strong southeast to south winds coupled with heavy rain.”

The warning, which was issued on Thursday morning, is in place from Friday 22nd November at 10pm until 12 noon, Saturday 23rd November.

Some of the possible impacts for Wexford residents include “localised flooding”, “travel disruption” and “fallen trees”.
