Opponent confirmed for David Kennedy’s upcoming pro boxing fight

A professional boxer from Wexford will be making the ring-walk again soon…

Professional Wexford boxer, David ‘Bomber’ Kennedy (2-0), will be fighting again next weekend on February 21st 2026.

The fight will be taking place at the Finn Valley Centre in Ballybofey, County Donegal.

The Gorey light-heavyweight hopes to go 3-0 to kickstart what he hopes to be a very busy year in the ring.

It’s his first fight of the New Year and he’s hoping to have an active year in the ring, aiming to have 4 fights throughout the year.

Kennedy, who had his plast fight in April of 2025 is eager to get back into the ring again, and will be fighting a Slovakian native, naamely Alex Frantisek Dzubak in his upcoming fight this weekend.

Dzubak, who is just an 18-year-old, has a professional record of 1 win and 2 losses from his previous three pro boxing fights. Although he enters the Kennedy fight on the back of a loss, he won his second fight via TKO showcasing his boxing ability.

The bout is scheduled for 4 rounds.

Last month, Kennedy made his prediction to Wexford Weekly — and he believes that this fight in Donegal will not go the distance.
