How are both teams doing in the Allianz League?

Wexford have played three games and won all three. With all due respect to their opponents, however, these were games that Wexford were expected to win. They defeated Antrim, Down, and Carlow. Their most recent performance against Carlow created some hope for Wexford hurling fans. Although they won their previous games against Antrim and Down, it took a late Fanning free — and then a late rally to see off Down in Ballycran.

Dublin, on the other hand, will need a win against Wexford to keep their promotion hopes alive. Dublin have played two games. They lost out to Clare by just two points in a previous Allianz Hurling League game, before then comfortbaly overcoming Kildare.

It’s important to note that Wexford will also need to take on Clare in Ennis in Round 6 of the Allianz Hurling League. Two teams will be promoted from Division 1B — and it’s likely going to be the winner of this game alongside Clare.
