Despite their loss, Dublin were impressive against Kilkenny in their opening championship game last weekend, and they’ll be confident coming to Wexford Park.

On the other hand, it’ll be Wexford’s first championship hurling match of 2018 – and like Dublin, they’ll have this fixture targetted since the new ’round-robin’ fixtures were released.

A win here would place both sides in a solid position ahead of the rest of the championship, which makes it such an exciting clash for such an early stage of the Leinster championship.

And, if Dublin’s recent record against Wexford is anything to go by, they should feel confident entering the game.

In the previous five championship hurling games between the sides, Dublin found themselves on the winning side on four occasions, drawing the other.
