The Wexford hurlers enjoyed a well deserved break from competitive action this weekend…
After compfortably defeating Carlow in the final round, the Yellowbellies finished in second-place on the table behind Clare. That meant that, in the quarter-final, Fitzgerald’s charges would play whoever finished in third-place of the other group.
With Galway getting a result against Tipperary today, the Tribesmen finished in third-place, setting up an intriguing encounter against the Model County.
Wexford won the coin toss for home advantage which occurred today . The game against Galway will take place this Saturday at Wexford Park.
Should Fitzgerald’s team defeat Galway this weekend, they’ll face 2018 All-Ireland Champions Limerick in the semi-final.
