Significant Rise In Wexford’s Confirmed Coronavirus Cases Brings Total To 39

Wexford have been doing well containing the coronavirus to date…

Figures released on Friday 10 April by the Department of Health showed that Wexford had thirty confirmed cases of coronavirus in the county.

Today, Saturday 11, the Department have reported an increase of nine confirmed cases from the previous day, bringing Wexford’s total confirmed Covid-19 cases to 39.

An increase of nine is the biggest increase in the county to date.

Roscommon, Leitrim and Carlow are the only three counties with less confirmed coronavirus cases than Wexford, while Sligo hold the same amount.

With additional cases returned from Germany, it means that there are now a total of 8,928 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland.

The news comes after Leo Varadkar and the Irish Government recently extended restrictions on Irish people for another three weeks.
