Here Are The Exact Locations Of Coronavirus Across Wexford Community

We did mention that we wouldn’t be reporting on the coronavirus anymore

However, we do feel that this update will be of interest to the Wexford public. A new map released by the Department of Health today shows the exact locations of all the 216 confirmed cases of the coronavirus across Wexford.

The link to the Department of Health’s GeoHive map is available here. Once you click on the map, you can scroll down and view the map and the number of coronavirus cases registered in each area of Wexford.

A small red dot appears on most of the areas across Wexford. This small dot represents a number of less than 5 confirmed coronavirus cases.

The worst part of Wexford affected was in the Kilmokea area, which registered 36 confirmed cases. Cherry Grove Nursing Home was greatly impacted by the coronavirus and is located in this area.

The Ardamine area of North Wexford registered 10 confirmed cases of the Coroanvirus, while the sea-side resort of Courtown has six cases of Covid-19 confirmed there.

It’s interesting that urban areas such as Wexford (less than 5), Enniscorthy (less than 5), Bunclody (less than 5), and Gorey (6) registered a small number of cases.

The map is based on electoral districts. For example, this means that Gorey rural (some surrounding areas) is another area, which registered an additional nine cases.

The Department of Health will update this map weekly.
