It hasn’t been a great year to follow the Yellowbellies..
After the highs of last year’s double Leinster final success with both the minors and the Seniors defeating Kilkenny, this year was no doubt a disappointing one.
Wexford were knocked out of the Senior hurling championship with two losses; one to Galway and then one in the qualifiers to Fitzgerald’s native Clare.
But, all is not lost — and there’s plenty more to look forward to.
The Wexford minor hurlers, who are reigning champions, are out in their respective Leinster semi-final soon. Here, they’ll face neighbours Kilkenny in what is to be a repeat of last year’s Leinster minor hurling final.
The Wexford minor hurlers’ game against the Cats will take place on Sunday December 20th, at 12:30pm, at Chadwicks Wexford Park.
Meanwhile, Wexford’s u-20 will play the winners of Offaly/Dublin in the u-20 Leinster hurling semi-final on Friday 18th of December, which will take place in Carlow.
It’s also great news for GAA supporters — and Wexford hurling supporters who may be missing the action — knowing that the u-20 game will be broadcasted live on TG4.
