Watch: This Jack O’Connor Point Against Oulart Was Simply Sensational

Both Oulart-The Ballagh and St Martins were forced into a relegation battle with each other…

It was St Martins who emerged victorious in the game, which means that Oulart-The Ballagh have been relegated to the Intermediate Hurling ranks in Wexford.

One player who stood up when their club needed him most was Jack O’Connor. O’Connor, who also played remarkably in their previous loss to Naomh Eanna, was one of the star-men for St Martins this weekend too.

This video clip shows O’Connor running towards the half-way and hitting the ball over his shoulder and scoring a point, with the Wexford GAA TV commentators remarking that it’s one of the greatest points ever witnessed in Wexford Park.

It wasn’t too long ago since Oulart-The Ballagh were the king-pins of Wexford hurling and were regularly competing in the Leinster club championship against some of the country’s top clubs.

While it will not be an easy task, one could imagine that it will not be too long before we see Oulart-The Ballagh back in the Senior hurling ranks again.
