A male was assaulted in Gorey last night…
The assault took place on Gorey’s main street at approximately 9pm last night (Saturday).
It is believed that the victim was a seventeen-year old male who had just stepped off the bus.
He then walked over to the nearby ATM machine on Gorey’s main street where the assault took place.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochana confirmed the reports:
“One man was assaulted on Main Street, Gorey on the evening of Saturday 16th October, 2021 at approximately 9p.m.
One man was removed to Wexford General Hospital and received a number of stitches,” a Garda spokesperson said.
At the time of writing, no persons have been arrested and investigations remain ongoing.
