Good News As The Boil Water Notice In Wexford Town Has Been Lifted

It’s good news for the public across Wexford town as the boil water notice has been lifted today…

The Boil Water Notice, which was issued on Thursday, and was put in place due to issues at the water treatment plant which has affected the disinfection process.

The boil water notice was issued Thursday and remained in place until today, Tuesday, as we earlier reported.

Over 25,000 people were impacted by the boil water notice.

Today, Irish Water confirmed via their website that the boil water notice that affected these households has been lifted.

“Following consultation with the HSE and receipt of satisfactory monitoring results, the Boil Water Notice that was in place for the Wexford Town Public Water Supply has been lifted with immediate effect and water is safe to drink,” a spokesperson for Irish water confirmed.
