Former Wexford Manager Davy Fitzgerald Linked With New Inter-County Role

There’s a lot of talk down in Cork about Davy Fitzgerald…

The former Wexford Senior hurling manager is in talks to become a part of the new Cork Camogie set-up, although the Cork County Board are yet to confirm any such appointment.

It’s believed that Fitzgerald is in talks to become a coach with the Cork ladies, according to local reports in the Cork Echo and in the Irish Examiner.

Fitzgerald departed the Wexford Senior huling team after five years at the helm, with Darragh Egan taking up the role as the new manager.

Recently, Fitzgerald was linked with the Galway Senior hurling job, only to be beaten to the position by Kilkenny legend, Henry Shefflin.

It would be an interesting new role for Fitzgerald.
