Great News As Wexford Native Called Up To Senior Republic Of Ireland Football Squad

Wexford received some great football news recently…

That’s after a Wexford native was called up to the Senior Irish men’s soccer team for their upcoming Nations League matches.

Wexford native Festy Ebosele has been called up to Stephen Kenny’s Senior squad.

Ebsosele was playing under Wayne Rooney at Derby County before he managed to secure a move to Serie A football team, Udinese.

Before moving to Derby County, Festy played schoolboys soccer with Moyne Rangers FC in Enniscorthy town.

It’s Ebosele’s first Senior call up and the nineteen-year-old will be hoping to be handed his first senior debut when Kenny’s side takes on Armenia, Ukraine and Scotland.

The last Wexford native to represent Ireland was Adamstown’s, Kevin Doyle, who went on to have an incredible and lengthy career with Ireland.
