Met Eireann Issue Orange Weather Warning For Wexford

Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange weather warning..

Wexford, along with all other counties in Leinster, will be impacted by the Status Orange weather warning.

As per the Met Eireann website, they expect “spells of sleet and snow overnight combined with strong northerly winds.”

They also stated that “significant accumulations of snow are expected in some areas by morning along with icy conditions.”

Possible Impacts:
● Very hazardous road conditions
● Travel disruption
● Poor Visibility

The Orange Weather warning for Wexford is valid from 00:00 Friday 10/03/2023 to 10:00 Friday 10/03/2023

The forecaster, Met Eireann, stated on Sunday afternoon that:

Motorists, in particular, are urged to drive with caution as road conditions may become quite hazardous in places.

According to RTE, schools across Wexford may be closed tomorrow and the decision will be left up to the principal of each individual school.
