Very sad news broke across Wexford this afternoon…
A man, aged in his 80s, died on a popular Wexford beach.
The man, who’s identity has not yet been revealed, died after getting into difficulty in the water. The incident took place at popular Wexford beach, Curracloe.
Emergency services, including a rescue helicopter, were quickly on the scene, but the man died after numerous attempts to save his life.
It is believed that the man was visiting the area.
