Confirmed: The Wexford u-20 hurlers have a new hurling manager

The Wexford u-20 hurlers have a new manager…

As reported on Wexford Weekly three weeks ago, there was a new front-runner for the Wexford u-20 hurling managerial position.

The role was left vacant after Keith Rossiter, the manager for the previous two seasons, secured the Senior hurling managerial position following Darragh Egan’s departure.

Initially, it was believed that Rory Jacob was in contention for the role – but reports have suggested that Jacob pulled out of the race.

Aidan O’Connor then emerged as the new front-runner for the vacant role.

At a Wexford GAA County Board meeting, which took place last night on 21 November, Buffers Alley club man Aidan O’Connor was ratified as the new Wexford u-20 hurling manager.

O’Connor managed the Rapparees last year in the Wexford Senior Hurling Championship, while he was the manager of the Wexford Minor hurling team in both 2019 and 2020.
